My name is Heiko Brandenburger, I am 27 years old and I am currently studying a Master in Media Studies with a minor in Japanese studies at the Universtiy Trier. Thanks to Dr. Pr. Suda Ishida, I learned a lot about international advertising and the various aspects that need to be considered when moving into a foreign market.
Instead of simply promoting a product or a service in the same way as in the home market, demographical and cultural factors of the foreign country have to be precisely evaluated and included into the advertising strategy.

Since I am very interested in learning about other cultures, studying languages and also enjoy travelling, these aspects of advertising are extremely inspiring and fun for me.
I chose Nike as the brand to focus on, because I consider myself as a loyal consumer of Nike products.
Along with good and constant quality, I like their designs as well as their advertising.
Basketball is definitely my favourite sport and I have been playing it since I was about 12 years old. While I am nowadays playing socially on a regular basis, my team and I won the German Championship in 2002 for Under 16's :-) Enjoy my work!
